Detailed Information and Online Application for 2027 Pathways Now Available

Information on the 2027 Pathways for ECFMG^® Certification and Pathways Revalidation is now available on the ECFMG website. The 2027 Pathways are for international medical graduates (IMGs) who need to meet the clinical skills requirement and the communication skills requirement for ECFMG Certification, or who need to revalidate a previously accepted Pathway that is expired or expiring. IMGs also must meet the clinical and communication skills requirements in order to participate in the 2027 National Resident Matching Program^® (NRMP^®) Main Residency Match^® (The Match^®), among other requirements. Eligible IMGs can apply now using the online Application for 2027 Pathways for ECFMG^® Certification and Pathways Revalidation.

ECFMG’s Clinical Skills Evaluation and Attestation Portal also is now open for international medical schools who need to complete Clinical Skills Attestations for applicants to Pathway 3, 4, or 5, and for licensed physicians who need to complete the required Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX) evaluations for applicants to Pathway 6. ERAS 2027 Program Information for IMGs Now Available

Information for international medical students/graduates (IMGs) on the Electronic Residency Application Service^® (ERAS^®) 2027 application season is now available. If you plan to apply for U.S. residency positions that begin in July 2027, please visit the ERAS Support Services section of the ECFMG website for important information.

Most U.S. residency programs participate in ERAS. If you apply to participating programs, you must use ERAS to do so.

At the ERAS Support Services section of the ECFMG website, you will be able to:

See an overview of the Application Process and Timeline.
View instructions on how to obtain an ERAS Token, which will enable you to register at the MyERAS website of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and work on your residency applications.
Find instructions for submitting your supporting documents, such as letters of recommendation and transcripts.

ERAS Support Services will transmit your supporting documents to your ERAS application. All supporting documents must be submitted electronically.

Residency Tokens for the ERAS 2027 application season are expected to be available through ECFMG’s MyIntealth Applicant Portal beginning June 24, 2026. You can use a 2027 Token to register with AAMC’s MyERAS beginning June 24, 2026.

Prevent Delays in Delivery of Your ECFMG Certificate

If you are nearing completion of the ECFMG Certification program, prevent delays in the issuance and delivery of your ECFMG Certificate by logging into MyIntealth and making certain that your contact information and mailing address are up to date.

Confirm your complete mailing address and telephone number are current in MyIntealth
Don’t use a P.O. Box
Are available to sign for your delivery

Please note that a complete mailing address must include a house or apartment number, a street name (without periods or commas), a city, and a postal code (if one is available).
