If you plan to apply for U.S. residency positions that begin in July 2026, please visit the ERAS Support Services section of the ECFMG website for important information.
Most U.S. residency programs participate in ERAS. If you apply to participating programs, you must use ERAS to do so.
At the ERAS Support Services section of the ECFMG website, you will be able to:
- See an overview of the Application Process and Timeline.
- View instructions on how to obtain an ERAS Token, which will enable you to register at the MyERAS website of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and work on your residency applications.
- Find instructions for submitting your supporting documents, such as letters of recommendation and transcripts.
ERAS Support Services will transmit your supporting documents to your ERAS application. All supporting documents must be submitted electronically. For more details, please refer to the “Upload Your Documents Now” e-mail that will be sent to you after you have registered at MyERAS.
Residency Tokens for the ERAS 2026 application season are expected to be available through ECFMG’s On-line Applicant Status and Information System (OASIS) beginning June 25, 2025. You can use a 2026 Token to register with AAMC’s MyERAS beginning June 25, 2025.

Intealth Announces IMG Well-being Day (May 30, 2025) to Recognize and Support International Medical Graduates in U.S. Training
Intealth™ will host IMG Well-being Day on Friday, May 30, 2025, a new day of recognition to support and celebrate IMGs in U.S. graduate medical education (GME). The initiative builds on Intealth’s long-standing commitment to promoting physician well-being and fostering inclusive training environments.
IMG Well-being Day will include the release of new multimedia resources for incoming and current IMG physicians, including video presentations from Intealth Well-being Grant recipients, a self-guided session from Headspace on calming everyday anxiety with mindfulness, and a support video on navigating the transition into U.S. residency. Intealth invites GME programs across the country to participate in the day by taking action locally—a toolkit available now to training programs offers practical resources and engagement ideas, sample social media posts and graphics, and materials to help institutions of all sizes support their IMG trainees.
